Business support

Information previously available on the Business Link website is now contained on GOV.UK. This includes a range of information on starting up and running an enterprise in the UK such as business tax, business rates and expenses and employee benefits.

The Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership has developed a business support portal; the business navigator. The portal includes advice and information on events and networking, funding, mentoring, premises and facilities, and skills.

Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership has developed a similar business advice and support website; the EM3 Growth Hub.

Supply to Surrey is a resource for businesses that want to work with the public sector in Surrey. It offers contract opportunities and information on apprenticeships. As part of this Build Surrey is a construction and built environment network that provides construction-related businesses the tools to trade, find suppliers, create new partnerships, advertise and access further services online.

Surrey County Council supports the Fredericks Foundation. The Foundation can supply loans to start up and existing businesses.

The Get Safe Online website is a free one-stop-shop for independent expert advice to help individuals and small businesses protect themselves against internet threats such as viruses, spam, spyware and online fraud.

www.getsafeonline.org has been created by the Government, the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit and leading businesses.
