Lower Mole Partnership – volunteer task programme

Autumn 2017

The Lower Mole Partnership has a great selection of practical conservation tasks to try this season, with lots of scrub clearance and popular coppicing - something for everyone to try.

If you are new to countryside volunteering, we would recommend any of the scrub clearance (restoration) tasks as a good starter, but you are more than welcome to try any others as well. If you have any questions or concerns please just give us a call for a chat on 01372 743783 before deciding which task is best for you to join in with.

New volunteers are always very welcome; remember there is no fixed commitment, you can join in on task days as often as you like and we provide a great, free sociable 'green gym'; autumn really is the perfect season to come and give it a try.

Please have a look at our current task programme attached below which covers October to December 2017 and find out more about what we are up to, when and where across the partnership area - north Surrey and in to Kingston.

Full details on what you need to do to get involved, full site information and diary dates can also be found in the programme.

Don't forget we also welcome corporate and local/school groups by arrangement, plus students completing their Duke of Edinburgh awards and work experience/voluntary training placements.

Please contact us on 01372 743783 for any further information and to let us know if you would like to come and join in. Alternatively you can email us: mole.project@surreycc.gov.uk. For corporate group telephone enquiries please call 01737 733931.

We look forward to welcoming you along very soon.

How you could support us from your armchair instead...

If you are unable to join in with our practical conservation tasks but would like to show your support from indoors for our local countryside management work, then please do kindly consider joining the Lower Mole Countryside Trust. This independent, registered charitable trust is run by a small group of dedicated volunteers and they raise funds through memberships and fundraising initiatives in partnership with the Lower Mole team.

Full information and details on how to join can be found on the Lower Mole Countryside Trust website or call Bryan Muddle on 01372 743783.

The Trust is pleased to welcome one-off and legacy donations, so if you would like to consider this to support the management of your lovely local Surrey countryside so it can continue to be enjoyed and accessed by future generations, then please do contact the Trust to further discuss.

Many thanks for your support.
