Surrey History Centre opening hours

Opening hours (from Tuesday 21 July 2020)

We look forward to welcoming visitors back to Surrey History Centre on a pre-booked basis for access to original documents only. We are initially reopening with reduced hours and a range of health and safety measures.

Visitors can book a morning or afternoon session only (not both) and up to 10 original documents. 2 working days' notice is required. Please email or phone 01483 518737.

  • Monday: Closed
  • Tuesday: 9.45am to 12.45pm and 1.45pm to 4.45pm
  • Wednesday: 9.45am to 12.45pm and 1.45pm to 4.45pm
  • Thursday: 9.45am to 12.45pm and 1.45pm to 4.45pm
  • Friday: Closed
  • Saturday: Closed

The Centre is closed on Sundays and Bank Holiday weekends (including Saturdays).

You will need a Surrey County libraries ticket or a County Archive Research Network (CARN) card to use our collections. If you do not have either of these, you will need to bring something official as proof of ID and address, such as a driving licence or bank statement.
