Surrey History Centre closure due to coronavirus

Surrey History Centre temporary closure

Based on current Government advice on Coronavirus/Covid-19, we regret to inform you that Surrey History Centre is currently closed to the public. However, we look forward to welcoming visitors back to Surrey History Centre on a pre-booked basis for access to pre-booked original documents from Thursday 3 December. Please email us to reserve your place on the understanding that appointments may be cancelled at short notice if lockdown is extended.

Please check our Surrey History Centre webpage for further information and updates. You can access a wealth of history research resources online through our catalogue, our Surrey records online page and by visiting Exploring Surrey's Past.

Although our front doors are currently closed, we plan to maintain our public enquiries service as far as we can, so please contact us if you have a question about our collections. We'll also be sharing information about our collections, online talks, activities and other resources via our e-newsletter and on our social media channels:

Please continue to contact us. We will be checking our public email daily and will reply to any enquiries as best we can.

Our concern is for the wellbeing of staff and users, and we will also be ensuring the safety and security of our unique collections during the period of closure.

Wishing all our friends and users the very best. Take care of yourselves and we look forward to seeing you again in the not too distant future.
