Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 19 January 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along the length of Public Footpath 86 (Brockham) from the junction with Public Footpath 84 (Grid ref: 519148, 149158) in a southerly direction to the junction with Public Footpath 92.
The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to an unsafe bridge. The closure will be in operation from 23 January 2023 until 26 June 2023. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no suggested alternative route.
