Rights of Way Route 78 Hazon Way to Waterloo Road (T6040), Epsom
Temporary Closure Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding in that length of Rights of Way route 78 Townpath - Hazon Way to Waterloo Road (T6040), Epsom that extends alongside the western property boundary of “No.29 Waterloo Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable ALS Civil Engineers Limited and/or UKPN to excavate joint bay, expose all cables in footpath and trench to customers ducting, lay cable, joint and reinstate and/or associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 5 days of the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, businesses, emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: - Rights of Way route 78 Townpath - Hazon Way to Waterloo Road (T6040) and Waterloo Road.
