Public Footpath 66 (Esher) Temporary Closure Order 2022

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1)&(2)
The Surrey County Council
Public Footpath 66 (Esher)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022

On 5 May 2022 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 66 (Esher) at Painshill, Cobham from the junction with Public Footpath 67 (Grid reference: 510303, 160203) in a north-westerly direction for approximately 150m.

The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to construction work taking place on or near the public footpath.

The closure will be in operation from 17 May 2022 until 31 July 2022, or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

An alternative route around the temporary closure has been provided and is indicated on site.

The 'Surrey County Council Public Footpath 66 (Esher) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022' was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
