Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 3 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Public Footpath 430 (Leigh) from Small Hills Road (Grid Reference 522388, 146867) northeast then southeast to its junction with Public Footpath 431. Access to properties will not be affected by the Order.
The Order is necessary for public safety due to a damaged footbridge. The closure will be in operation from 15 August 2023 until 15 November 2023 or until repair works are completed, whichever is sooner. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf.
There is no suggested alternative route.
