Public Path Diversion Order 2022

On 27 September 2022, Surrey County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A (2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert Footpath No 321 (Charlwood) from point 'A' (Grid Ref 523123 140254) in a north-north easterly direction for 60 metres to Point 'C' (Grid Ref 523156 140300) then in an easterly direction for 127 metres to Point 'B' (Grid Ref 523277 140325) as shown on drawing number. 3/1/42/H17. Total distance A to C to B 187 metres. The footpath to have a width of two metres.

A copy of the Order and Map may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Access Office, Surrey County Council, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ (by appointment Telephone. 0300 200 1003) and at Mole Valley District Council, Pippbrook, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1SJ or Horley Library, Victoria Road, Horley RH6 7AG during opening hours. A copy of the Order may be purchased from the County Council for £4.

The Order came into force on 6 October 2022, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highway Act 1980 as amended or on the ground that any requirement of the Act as amended or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order he or she may under paragraph two of Schedule two to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act within six weeks from 6 October 2022 make an application to the High Court.
