Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022
On 5 May 2022, Surrey County Council will make the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 12 (Chertsey) between the junction with Public Footpath 11 (Chertsey) (Grid Ref: 505979, 163092) and the junction with Public Footpaths 23 and 39 (Walton & Weybridge) at Seven Arches Bridge.
The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to essential repairs to the foot crossing, taking place on or near the footpath. The closure will be in operation from 9 May 2022 until 27 May 2022, or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no suggested alternative route.
