The Surrey County Council
Public Byway Open to All Traffic 519 (Ash)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 28 September 2023 Surrey County Council made a temporary order to prohibit all traffic on foot or any other means from entering or proceeding along Byway Open to All Traffic (BOAT) 519 (Ash) from its junction with BOAT 518 (Grid reference 489030 149646) in a southerly direction for approximately 200 metres.

The Order is necessary to ensure the safety of the public during works adjacent to the byway. It will be in operation from 2 October until 2 December 2023 or until completion of the works, if earlier, and while the relevant notices are displayed. The Secretary of State for Transport can extend that period if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected. There is no suggested alternative route.

The 'Surrey County Council Public Byway Open to All Traffic 519 (Ash) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023' was made by Surrey County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
