Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hydons Ball Road (D162) Godalming (Rights of Way route 514) as extends from its junction with (C32) Hydon Heath and for a distance of 600 metres in a southerly direction. This Order is required to facilitate trunk main installation works and/or maintenance works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 March 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
