The alternative route for pedestrians from the southern end of the closure will be to proceed in a southerly direction to the junction with Craddocks Avenue. Turn right onto Craddocks Avenue and proceed in a westerly direction to the junction with Newton Wood Road. Turn right onto Newton Wood Road and proceed in a north-westerly, then westerly direction to the junction with Public Footpath No.36. Turn right onto Public Footpath number 36 and proceed in a northerly direction, crossing the railway line and then proceed in an easterly direction to reach the northern end of the closure. The alternative route for pedestrians from the northern end of the closure will be the reverse of the above.
There is no alternative route for horse riders and cyclists.
The 'Surrey County Council Public Bridleway No. 38 (Leatherhead) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023' will be made by Surrey County Council under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
