Public Bridleway 143 (Farnham)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 10 March 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Bridleway 143 Farnham from point A (Grid reference: 483144 148857) to point B (Grid reference: 483268 148977). Shown as a bold line on plan reference: 3/1/18/H112.

The Order is necessary in the interest of public safety due to damage to the road caused by badger activity.

The closure will be in operation for a period of six months from 11 March 2026 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

There is no alternative route via Public Rights of Way.

The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway 143 (Farnham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026 was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
