On 3 March 2026 the Secretary of State for the Environment confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert Footpath 126A (West End) running from point A (at Grid Ref 492726 161268) in a generally south-westerly direction for 1227 metres via point B (at Grid ref 492216 161108) to point C (at Grid Ref 491606 160871), to a line running from point A at (Grid Ref 492726 161268) in a north-westerly direction for 203 metres via point D (at Grid Ref 492560 161382) then in a generally south-westerly direction for 1131 metres to point C (at Grid Ref 491606 160871) as shown on Drawings Nos. 3/1/82/H20i and H20ii.

A copy of the order and map may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Access Office, Surrey County Council, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ (by appointment Tel. 0300 200 1003), at Surrey Heath Borough Council, Knoll Rd, Camberley GU15 3HD and at Camberley Library, Knoll Road, Camberley, GU15 3SY during opening hours. Copies of the order and map may be purchased from the County Council for £4.

The order came into force on 3 March 2026, but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained within it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 3 April 2026, make an application to the High Court.
