Public Footpath 373 (Normandy)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 31 August 2023 Surrey County Council will make the above-mentioned Temporary Order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along the length of Public Footpath 373 (Normandy) at Manor Fruit Farm from the junction with Glaziers Lane in a north-easterly direction for approximately 180 metres.
The Order is necessary due a special event taking place at Manor Fruit Farm, a family music and food festival.
It will be in operation from 09:00 on Saturday 9 September 2023 until 09:00 on Sunday 10 September 2023. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The prohibition described above shall not apply to emergency service vehicles in an emergency. The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays traffic signs prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route from the western end of the closure will be: Proceed in a south-easterly direction along Glaziers Lane to reach the access path/road to Manor Fruit Farm. Turn left onto the access path/road and proceed in a north-easterly direction for approximately 180 metres to reach the car park. Turn left and proceed along the edge of the car park to reach the eastern end of the closure. The alternative route from the eastern end of the closure will be the reverse of the above.
The 'The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 373 (Normandy) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023' will be made by the County Council under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
