Public Bridleway and Footpath No. 270 (Bramley)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 4 December 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot, horseback, bicycle or by any other means from entering or proceeding along bridleway no. 270 (Bramley) from a point 415 metres northeast of Rooks Hill road (grid reference 502456, 142809), generally northeast then north northeast for 160 metres to its junction with footpath no. 270 Bramley; and footpath no. 270 (Bramley) from the same point 415 metres northeast of Rooks Hill road, northeast for 15 metres. Access to properties will not be affected by the Order.
The Order is necessary for public safety due to construction works in the field. The closure will be in operation from 18 December 2025 until 18 June 2026 or until works are completed, whichever is sooner. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf.
Alternative route: from point A proceed northeast through the field to point B, as shown by the dashed black line on the attached plan.
The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway and Footpath No. 270 (Bramley) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 was made by Surrey County Council under Sections 14(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
