Definitive Map Modification Order 2023

The above Order, made on 31 August 2023, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a public bridleway from the mini roundabout located at the junction of Cottimore Lane and Regency Gardens, Walton on Thames (Grid ref 511357 166409) and proceeding in a south-easterly direction to the junction with Rydens Road, opposite the junction with Normanshurst Road (Grid ref 511743 165965), a total distance of 620 metres.

A copy of the Order and Order map may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Access Office, Surrey County Council, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ (by appointment Telephone: 0300 2001003), and at Elmbridge Borough Council, Civic Centre, High Street, Esher, KT10 9SD during opening hours, and at Walton Library, 54 The Heart, Walton on Thames, KT12 1GH during opening hours. Copies of the Order and map may be bought from the County Council for £4.

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Countryside Access Team (quoting reference DW/TJ/CP585), at Surrey County Council, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ not later than 30 October 2023. Applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the Order (or that part of the Order). If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in whole or in part, any representations and objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
