Commons Act 2006
Notice of a non-statutory public inquiry
Two applications were made to the registration authority, Surrey County Council, Countryside Access Team, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford, GU4 7BQ. The first (application 1880) by Marcus Burke-Williams of 18 Rectory Close, Long Ditton, KT6 5HR under section 15(2) of the Commons Act 2006 seeks the inclusion in the Register of Town or Village Greens of the land described below, which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green on 13 August 2017. The second (application 1882) by Amanda Moylan-Jones of 61 Severn Drive, Hinchley Wood, Esher KT10 0AJ under section 15(2) of the Commons Act 2006 seeks the inclusion in the Register of Town or Village Greens of the land described below, which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green on 16 December 2018. Both are by virtue of the land having been used continuously, for over 20 years by local households for a variety of lawful sports and pastimes.
If the registration authority is satisfied that the lands described below have become town or village greens as claimed, it will so register the lands, and such registration will be conclusive evidence of the status of the lands as at the date of registration.
Notice is hereby given that a non-statutory public inquiry to investigate the issues arising from both applications will be held at Long Ditton Village Hall, Ewell Road, Long Ditton, Surbiton, KT6 5LE from Monday 24 April 2023 at 9 am and continuing as necessary on the following days until 28 April 2023.
Any person may attend the Inquiry and, at the discretion of the Inspector, may be allowed to speak.
Dated: 9 March 2022
