County Hall is a magnificent historical building, with stunning architecture, stained glass windows, wood panelling, and original period features. It can host intimate events for 2 to 40 people, and also caters for larger functions of 40 to 150 guests. With two grand halls, a Council Chamber, a court room, a large function suite and 12 flexible meeting/committee rooms, County Hall has the conference or meeting room to suit all events, and is the perfect venue for:

Grand Hall - Max Capacity 160

Grand hallLocated on the first floor, the Grand Hall is a flexible open space suitable for fairs, receptions, dinners and dances.

Ashcombe Suite - Max Capacity 124

Ashcombe suiteSituated on the first floor at County Hall, the Ashcombe suite is a highly versatile room suitable for large conferences, banquets and evening receptions. It is equipped with a public address system, web casting facilities, and a hearing loop. Included with the hire of this room is the Anti Chamber, perfect for refreshments, meet and greet, and other social functions.

Council Chamber - Max Capacity 112

Council chambers Particularly impressive with its original features, the Council Chamber is located on the first floor at County Hall. The theatre-style room with its tiered leather seating and desks for 79 people, incorporates extensive audio visual facilities, making it the ideal situation for presentations and larger meetings. There is a viewing gallery on the second floor with additional seating.

Court Room - Max Capacity 64

Court roomNo longer used as a working court, the Court Room is an exact replica of the Old Bailey, making it the perfect location for film and television productions. An excellent venue for team building, lectures, presentations and mock trials for professionals, the court seats 62 with a further 50 seats in the viewing gallery on the second floor.

Lower Grand Hall - Max Capacity 60

Lower grand hallLocated on the ground floor and opening directly onto the outer forecourt, the Lower Grand Hall is the perfect spot to meet and greet guests or to hold a drinks reception. The hall provides a magnificent entrance with its elegant staircase, overlooked by a picturesque stained glass window, to the Grand Hall and its committee rooms.

Committee Room A - Max Capacity 50

Committee Room AOriginally the Clerk of the Council's office, this room with its original fireplace, large windows, and flexible setup makes it ideally suited to all types of events and meetings, including those requiring privacy. There is an informal break-out area at one end of the room, which also doubles as a refreshment space.

Committee Room B - Max Capacity 40

Committee Room BAn elegant, oak paneled room overlooking the inner court yard, this room is perfect for smaller meetings, conferences and training sessions.

Committee Room C - Max Capacity 40

Committee Room CIdeal for presentations, with its fixed position horseshoe-shaped table, spacious dimensions, and natural light, this quiet, board-room style room can be used in conjunction with Committee Room D as a breakout area.
