Monday 23 January: Reuse and Recycle Talk, Oxted

Wednesday 25 January: 'Biker Down!', Guildford

Run by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, 'Biker Down!' is a free 3 hour workshop that was devised to provide the tools to help bikers who were involved in or have witnessed a crash. For more information check out the Eventbrite Biker Down webpage.


Saturday 28 January: The Oxted Sessions Folk and Blues Festival, Oxted

Thursday 2 February: The Face that Launched 1000 Books Sleuthing in Surrey with Frances Burney, Leatherhead Library

Friday 3 February: February Maker Space Meetup at The Boileroom, Guildford

Consider yourself a maker of things? Join others at The Boileroom where the Surrey Hampshire Maker Space is hosting an open evening. The Brigitte Trust is hosting two death cafes. Death cafes are about encouraging honest and thoughtful conversations about death and dying over coffee and cake! The cafes are free and open to anyone to speak freely and without judgement.

First Saturday of every month: Maltings Monthly Market, Farnham

First Tuesday of every month: Guildford Farmers' Market, Guildford High Street

Take a trip to the Farmer's Market which takes place on the first Tuesday of every month. Buy high quality fresh local produce directly from over 50 local farmers and producers at Guildford's monthly Farmers' Market, held in the historic cobbled High Street. From 10.30am to 3.30pm in Guildford High Street.


Every Friday and Sunday: Downs and Weald Rambling Group, various locations

The Downs and Weald Rambling (DWRG) group offers year round Sunday walks of 8 to 12 miles and shorter Friday evening walks of 2 to 4 miles. Weekly and monthly: Carer drop in hubs, various locations

At the Hub, from 10am to 2:30pm, you can meet with Action for Carers' staff and volunteers and enjoy a cuppa and a chat. You can get information and advice on your caring role and the support available, plus the opportunity to ask any questions you like. Various dates: Age Concern Befriender scheme, Mole Valley

Do you have 1 to 2 hours free a week and would like to make a difference in someone's life? Age Concern Mole Valley is looking for volunteers to join its Befriender scheme across the Mole Valley area. Veterans support

Surrey County Council are developing local mixed friendship groups for veterans across Surrey in various locations. This will be a space where veterans can get to know one another and take part in activities.

Surrey County Council also has a Forces Connect mobile app, which is free to download on Apple and android devices. This signposts people to information and sources of support including other Veteran Hubs around the county, which can also be found on our Armed Forces web page.

Guildford's hub is hosted at Guildford Fire Station, A25, West Clandon, Guildford GU1 1AT on the last Thursday of every month from 10.30am to 12.30pm.


Third Wednesday of every month, Woking Veterans Hub, Woking

Woking's hub takes place at Woking Fire Station, 42 Goldsworth Rd, Woking GU21 6LE on the third Wednesday of every month from 10.30am to 12pm.


Fourth Thursday of every month, Fordbridge Veterans Hub, Ashford

Fordbridge's hub is on the 4 Tuesday of every month from 11am to 1pm at Fordbridge Fire Station, Staines Road West, Ashford TW15 3SB.


First Tuesday of each month, Epsom and Ewell Veterans Community Hub, Ewell

First Thursday of each month, Models for Heroes (model making session), Epsom
