Surrey Health and Wellbeing Strategy update

Ensuring no one is left behind

The Surrey Health and Well-being Strategy has been refreshed and renews its focus on reducing health inequalities, so no-one is left behind.

The strategy commits Surrey to joined-up efforts across the council, NHS, service providers and voluntary sector, to create the best conditions for both physical and mental health and well-being for residents. Alongside this we will be addressing the wider factors of health such as housing, the economy and environment.

The refreshed strategy has an emphasis on groups within the population of Surrey with the poorest health outcomes. It acknowledges the importance of building trust and a deeper understanding of those communities, so that they can lead the way in addressing the significant differences in health outcomes across Surrey.

The strengthened partnerships that have worked together so effectively during the pandemic will help deliver change in these communities.

You can read the refreshed strategy on the Healthy Surrey Health and Well-being Strategy 2022 web page.
