Armed Forces Community invited to join Veteran's Hubs at three Surrey Fire Stations
Saturday 25 June is Armed Forces Day, a day to thank members of our Armed Forces Community. Are you part of the Armed Forces Community or know someone that is currently serving or has served? There's an opportunity to come together on a monthly basis at a Veteran's Hub. Surrey Fire and Rescue Service hosts monthly Veteran's Hubs at Fordbridge, Guildford and Woking Fire Stations. The initiative, which has been running for a year now, enables currently serving, ex-serving and their loved ones the opportunity to meet peers, gain advice and support services under one roof.
Come and join us
- Guildford's hub is hosted at Guildford Fire Station, A25, West Clandon, Guildford GU1 1AT on the last Thursday of every month from 10.30am to 12.30pm
- Woking's hub takes place at Woking Fire Station, 42 Goldsworth Rd, Woking GU21 6LE on the third Wednesday of every month from 10.30am to 12pm
- Fordbridge's hub is on the 4 Tuesday of every month from 11am to 1pm at Fordbridge Fire Station, Staines Rd W, Ashford TW15 3SB
Other support
Surrey County Council also has a Forces Connect mobile app, which is free to download on Apple and android devices. This signposts people to information and sources of support including other Veteran Hubs around the county, which can also be found on our Armed Forces web page.
Surrey has a number of other Veteran Hubs running, please visit our Veteran Hubs and Drop-ins in the South East web page.
