Join Surrey’s Biggest Family

Could you foster a child in your local area and support them to thrive?

The 9 May sees the beginning of Foster Care Fortnight and Surrey County Council will be raising the profile of fostering through advertising and events both face-to-face and online – where you can find out more, meet other foster families and ask questions directly to the fostering service.

With over 1000 children in care in Surrey opening your home and heart to a child from your local community children could be the more rewarding than you ever imagined.

Fostering with Surrey County Council means that you will become part of a local fostering community that is just like one big family. We will make sure you are supported, and you will have access to a Supervising Social Worker, support groups, other local foster families and training. We also offer Mockingbird Hubs which are like an extended family for foster carers, organising sleeps overs, days out and also day-to-day support.
