Surrey County Council is inviting voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations to apply for new funding to deliver vital financial resilience services and community coordination across the county.
The funding is made available through the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF), provided by UK Government, and aims to support residents who are experiencing or at risk of financial hardship. Two routes are available for organisations wishing to take part:
- Route 1: Consortium Grants – opening for applications on 13 July 2026, with a final application deadline of 13 August 2026
- Route 2: Small Grants – opening late August 2026
These opportunities will enable organisations to work collaboratively to prevent poverty, reduce reliance on crisis support, and build long-term financial resilience within Surrey’s communities.
Full details are available on the Financial Resilience Services and Community Co-ordination opportunities webpages, with further more detailed information provided on request via an Invitation to Apply document. Enquiries can be sent to crf@surreycc.gov.uk.
Councillor Mark Nuti, Surrey County Council Cabinet Member for Health and Communities said: “This funding represents a significant investment in the wellbeing of our residents. By working closely with our voluntary and community partners to deliver a joined up approach, we can ensure that support can be targeted and reach the people and places that need it most. These grants will help build stronger, more resilient communities and provide practical help to prevent financial crisis before it occurs.”
The Consortium Grants route will support groups of organisations, led by a designated Lead Provider, to deliver coordinated services across specified geographic areas of highest deprivation. Funding will focus on prevention, early intervention, and improving access to advice, skills, and essential support.
The Small Grants route will support grassroots and specialist organisations working with priority populations who are more likely to experience financial hardship, including vulnerable demographic groups and those with protected characteristics.
Both funding routes will require delivery aligned to the East Surrey and West Surrey Council areas as defined by Local Government Reorganisation.
