Every year the Corporate Parenting service run a Children and Carers Summer Fun Day, a joyful celebration for all of Surrey’s looked after children, including those in foster care, our Children’s Residential Homes, and children with disabilities, along with their amazing carers.
With the next Summer Fun Day coming up soon, we wanted to look back to last summers event.
A huge thank you to our amazing staff volunteers and Councillors who brought the event to life with their energy, enthusiasm, and support. You truly made the day unforgettable.
From the buzzing activity stalls, run by our service teams and partners, to the joyful sounds of Surrey Arts’ musical instruments, and the thrill of the Bike Skills training sessions, there really was something for everyone.
Our carers were treated to some well-deserved pampering, while the bravest got up close and personal with some fascinating reptiles.
The amazing Tombola stall made possible by generous donations and sponsorship kept smiles on the children’s faces as they left armed with prizes.
And of course, no one went home hungry, with delicious hot food, ice cream, candy floss and popcorn to top it all off, smiles were everywhere.
Thank you to everyone who made this day so special. We can’t wait to do it all again this year.

2026 event
We’re thrilled to announce the return of the fun day for 2026 for all of Surrey’s looked after children, including those in foster care, our Children’s Residential Homes, and children with disabilities, along with their amazing carers.
This heartwarming event is a highlight of the year, packed with fun, games, and unforgettable memories. We could not make this event happen without the generosity of our community.
This year, we’re especially in need of prize donations to help us run a fantastic tombola stall, one of the most popular attractions of the day. Your contribution, big or small, will help bring smiles and excitement to children who truly deserve it.
If you can help or know a local business or group that can help or if you have any questions, please contact us. We’d love to hear from you.
Thank you for helping us make this day truly special.
