You don't necessarily need to have particular qualifications or to have studied certain courses to work in a green job, partly as there is such a wide range of roles available.
Research shows that certain subject areas have a stronger link to the green jobs available in Surrey:
- Business
- Science
- Construction, including architecture and urban planning
- Engineering
- IT
General transferable skills are also particularly important for companies looking to recruit into green jobs, especially:
- Communications
- People and project management
- Planning
Skills Bootcamps
Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible online courses of up to 16 weeks for Surrey residents giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track career progression.
