We are proud to present the Surrey Youth Voice Awards 2024. This annual event celebrates the incredible achievements of young people across Surrey, recognising their dedication, passion, and hard work.
Who can nominate
We invite:
- professionals
- parents
- peers, friends, or colleagues
to nominate exceptional young people who deserve recognition. This is your chance to shine a spotlight on those who go above and beyond.
Who can be nominated
Young people nominated must be aged 5 to 25 and meet at least one of the following:
- live in Surrey
- access services in Surrey
- be care experienced or a care leaver placed outside of Surrey
You can nominate an individual or a group in each category.
For group nominations, please include the number of members. If nominating an individual, ensure they consent to their details being shared so we can contact them about the event.
About the Award Ceremony
Our award ceremony will take place on 6 December. We have limited seats available, which will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If you miss out on a seat, don't worry your award will still be sent to you.
Every nominee will receive an award.
Award categories
Youth Voice and Participation Champion Award
Honouring a young person or group who has amplified the voices of their peers, whether by speaking up on key issues, co-producing projects, or advocating for meaningful change. Their efforts have created positive impacts for young people in Surrey.
Championing Climate Action and Greener Futures Award
Recognising a young person or group committed to fighting climate change and promoting sustainability. Whether through advocacy, project launches, or local initiatives, they inspire others to protect our planet and work towards a greener future.
The Wellbeing Award
Celebrating those who have significantly contributed to mental, emotional, or physical wellbeing, whether by overcoming personal challenges or supporting others through tough times.
Education Achievement Award
Acknowledging a young person or group who has excelled academically in any way, shown a passion for learning, or helped others succeed in their educational journey.
Employment Achievement Award
This award highlights the achievements of a young person or group in their employment journey, whether by securing a job, advancing in their career, or overcoming challenges in the workplace.
Inclusivity Award
Honouring those who champion inclusivity and diversity, fostering environments where everyone feels valued and respected. Their efforts to promote equality and challenge discrimination have made a significant impact.
Young Unsung Hero Award
Recognising individuals who quietly make a positive difference in their community or in someone else's life, often without seeking recognition. These are the true unsung heroes who deserve to be celebrated.
