Mental Health support during the holidays

Lots of places will have different opening hours over the Christmas holidays but there is still help out there if you need it.

Below, we've listed some of the places you can get help over the festive period.

Text "SHOUT" to 85258 to contact the Shout Crisis Text Line, or text "YM" if you're under 19.

Mindworks Crisis Line

Mindworks Crisis Line is a 24 hour a day service which is open 365 days a year. It is a service for children aged from six years, young people and their families/carers who are in crisis.

Other support in Surrey

Mindworks Access and Advice

This aims to help you or your family to find the best type of support for you. It is intended to give early access to advice and signposting to existing support as well as acting as a doorway (gateway) to more specialist or clinical support if needed.

The service is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday.

It runs from 9am to 12pm on Saturdays.

The service will not be open on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

CYP Havens

The havens offer a safe space for you to go and talk to someone who will be able to offer you advice and support. There are two havens in Surrey, one in Guildford, and one in Epsom.

The CYP Haven in Guildford will be open on Monday 19 December 2022 and then closed until Wednesday 4 January 2023.

The CYP Haven in Epsom is open on Tuesday 20 December 2022 and then closed until Wednesday 4 January 2023.

Kooth provides a welcoming space for digital mental health care, available to all and will be up and running all through the holiday period.
