Challengers Playschemes (4 to 12 year olds)

The playschemes are places for disabled and non disabled children aged 4 to 12 to make new friends and have fun. Activities include art, noisy and active play (bouncy castles, soft play and rough and tumble), outside space for accessible bikes, trikes, go karts, ball games, sand and water play and mucking about as well as quiet space for curling up with a book and stories. They run at venues in Esher, Farnham and Guildford.

Challengers Youth schemes (13 to 18 year olds)

The youth schemes enable disabled young people aged 13 to 18 to make friends and try lots of fun activities. Programme of activities include music workshops, baking, sports, trips out and much more. Up to half the spaces are reserved for young people who have complex impairments and need a higher level of support. They run at venues in Caterham, Farnham, Guildford and Molesey.

Head2Head (0 to 19+ years)

Head2Head Theatre provide holiday activities for children and young people aged 0 to 19+ with a wide range of disabilities, and their families. Their half day family holiday activities offer a multi-sensory, interactive, walkabout performance of a classic story. Families may bring a picnic and enjoy their lunchtime activities (sensory tent, craft and games).


InterAKtive Playschemes (5 to 16 year olds)

InterAKtive is for families who have a child or children on the autism spectrum, or those with a similar communication difficulty. Linden Bridge School is the "hub" of the playscheme. Facilities at the site include a play area, a modern swimming pool, and a block of classrooms, where activities such as art and crafts and cookery are carried out. The whole area is secure. As well as the on-site activities, there are a number of projects organised out in the community such as 10-pin bowling and crazy golf.

Kids (5 to 17 year olds)

KIDS provide specialist play and leisure opportunities for children and young people with Autism. Their Play and Leisure centred based days are held at Addlestone Youth Centre. In addition to the centre based days they also provide opportunities for children and young people to access local community activities such as swimming, bowling and cinema trips.

They provide support for two age groups 5 to 11 and 12 to 17 and the service operates on a number of Saturdays and during some school holidays. The service provides a mixture of 1:1 and 1:2 support.

North Surrey Afasic Activity Weeks (From 5 years)

The activity weeks give children with speech and language impairments (aged 5 upwards) the opportunity to take part in a range of activities that help them to improve their confidence by tackling tasks and challenges with other young people who have similar needs. Afasic also run 3 Friday Clubs during school terms with various activities including crafts, games and outings.

Surrey Short Breaks for Disabled Children

The service fund voluntary organisations and SEN schools to provide short break services and services to families of disabled children ranging from afterschool clubs to holiday schemes, domiciliary care and more. These services can either be accessed directly by families or in some cases, through a social worker.

White Lodge Centre (4 to 18 years)

The centre run a number of play and youth schemes specifically for disabled children and young people at venues in Runnymede, Spelthorne and Elmbridge. Most schemes run during the Easter and summer holidays with some Saturday provision.

YMCA East Surrey Yippee Specialised Playscheme (5 to 11 year olds)

Yippee is a warm and welcoming playscheme for children aged 5 to 11 with a wide range of disabilities and complex needs. It provides age appropriate activities for children, ensuring that they can play with friends and try out new activities, whilst giving families some support. The schemes are fully inclusive and can accommodate all special educational needs and disabilities. Yippee is hosted at different venues in Epsom and Ewell, Mole Valley, Reigate and Banstead, and Tandridge.


YMCA East Surrey Yip4Youth Specialised Playscheme (12 to 18 year olds)

Yip4Youth is a fun and friendly youth club, weekend and school holiday scheme for 12 to 18 year olds with disabilities and complex needs. It enables young people to meet up with friends and try out new activities in a safe and friendly environment. The schemes are fully inclusive and can accommodate all special educational needs and disabilities. Yip4Youth is hosted at different venues in Epsom and Ewell, Mole Valley and Reigate and Banstead.
