Surrey County Council is composed of 80 councillors elected every four years.

County Councillors:

listen to people in Surrey and represent their views;
promote County Council engagement with all citizens and groups;
are active community leaders and promote social, economic and environmental well-being and sustainability;
support access to County Council services;
participate actively in the process for determining priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring value for money;
promote continuous improvement in service delivery; and
