County Hall

front of county hall

Surrey County Council's Headquarters opened in 1893 and has functioned as the administrative centre for the Authority ever since. The building has been extensively modernised and refurbished over the years, not least after the Ashcombe Suite was badly damaged on 6 July 1944. Today, County Hall is home to approximately 1,500 staff.
