The YOF and YCF fund

The Surrey Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) and Youth Capital Fund (YCF) - April 2009 to February 2010
The Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) and Youth Capital Fund (YCF) are funds for all young people aged 11-19 (up to 25 years for young people identified with special needs) with the focus on young people who are considered "disadvantaged" or "vulnerable" and have difficulty in participation. (See information about the funds.)
Surrey young people spend the grants on improving the things to do and places to go, improving their health, safety, and future prospects and making a positive contribution in their chosen community.
This amount of money is divided between a County Youth Award Panel and 11 Borough Youth Award Panels. The County Youth Award Panel will award £150,000 to applications for projects that affect more than one Borough. Of this total, £69,160 is YOF and £80,840 YCF.
Each Borough panel allocates grants to projects led by their peers who are active in their community and wish to improve the quality of life for young people. Each panel has £74,100 of which £39,273 is YOF and £ 34,827 is YCF.
