Help in the event of a mental health crisis

Are you or someone you know at immediate danger of self harm?

Phone 999 and ask for the police or ambulance service if you are concerned about an immediate risk of harm.

If you need to talk to someone to help you through your crisis:

If you are receiving support from Surrey adult mental health services, your community mental health team can help.

  • Call 0300 200 1005 to be put through to your care co-ordinator or the person on duty.

If you are not receiving support from Surrey adult mental health services, you can get help in a number of ways:

  • Contact your General Practitioner (GP) who will make an initial referral to a community mental health team.
  • Call NHS Direct 24 hour health advice and information.
  • Go to your nearest accident and emergency (A&E).
  • Phone 999 and ask for the police or ambulance service if you are concerned about an immediate risk of harm.
