Transition from school to employment - EmployAbility

The Employment Support Officer from the EmployAbility team works with college and school leavers with learning disabilities to help them find meaningful full or part time paid employment and make the transition from school to employment a positive experience.

EmployAbility works with the following colleges:

  • Guildford College
  • Brooklands College
  • Nescott College
  • East Surrey College
EmployAbility also works with young people with learning disabilities who are leaving or have left school.

We offer young people with learning disabilities or Autism the following support:

  • information on supported employment;
  • vocational profiles;
  • job search;
  • help with applying for jobs - application forms and CVs;
  • preparation for interviews;
  • information about employment related benefits;
  • support with work experience placements.
