The walk passes the Palladian mansion Puttenham Priory, and through the village of Puttenham along the foot of the Hog’s Back ridge, which extends from Guildford to Farnham.

Transport
The 64 and X64 buses run from Guildford along the Hog’s Back (A31) to Farnham and Alton (provided by Stagecoach in Hampshire). From the Hog’s Back it is ¾ mile into Puttenham village, where you can start the walk at point 4.
Get off at the ‘Puttenham Turn’ bus stop, and walk down the steps (if on the west bound carriage way towards Farnham) or the path (on the east bound carriageway towards Guildford) to reach Puttenham Hill Road where it passes under the Hog’s Back. Turn right and walk along the pavement down the hill passing The Rectory on your right, then take the first right along The Street. Pass the church to reach The Good Intent pub on your right - point 4, and keep ahead to start the walk.
