Equality and diversity scheme

Help us make a difference for our staff and residents by completing our Equality and Diversity Scheme consultation

Our Single Equality Scheme 2010 to 2014 is where we set out how we will make a difference by:
  • Delivering fair and accessible services for everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Surrey
  • Becoming an excellent, diverse and inclusive employer with a reputation for being an employer of first choice
  • Going beyond our legal duties by ensuring that we understand who is vulnerable in Surrey, and consider their needs in the context of Surrey life.
Our Equality Action Plan 2010 to 2011 is where we set out how we will deliver the commitments we make in our scheme. This scheme will replace our first Single Equality Scheme that was published in 2006.

We have developed this new scheme in partnership with our staff, voluntary, community and faith sector organisations and our External Equalities Advisory Group. They have helped us to shape this scheme by representing the views of their communities and vulnerable residents in Surrey.

We need to know if we have got it right. Please take a few minutes to read the scheme and action plan and respond to the questions in the survey.

Our contact centre will be able to assist you if you wish to request an alternative format, a paper copy or take the survey by telephone.

You can take part in this consultation until 30th September 2010.
