Protecting and safeguarding adults

'Every day people say nothing...'
The Safeguarding Adults Team is part of the
Surrey Safeguarding Adults Board. Our aim is to safeguard vulnerable adults against abuse and to raise awareness throughout the community to help prevent further abuse.
A vulnerable adult is a person aged 18+ who may need community care services due to mental or other disability, age or illness; and who maybe unable to protect themselves against significant harm or exploitation. Abuse can be physical, sexual, verbal, financial, psychological or an act of neglect or institutional practice; see the different types of abuse.
If you suspect someone is at risk ...please say something!
