Parking news and updates in Waverley

Please read on for any parking related news and details of on street charging proposals and any other parking consultations that we are undertaking in your area.

News

The 2011 Waverley parking review proposals, which were approved at local committee on 16 September 2011, and the on street charging proposals which were approved at local committee on 16 December 2011, are being advertised for 28 days starting 12 January 2012. Any objections to the proposals will be presented to local committee in March 2012.Copies of the proposal plans, legal notices and committee reports are available to download and view below.

If you wish to object to any of these proposals then you must put your grounds in writing to the following address by 10 February 2012: Mr David Curl, Parking Strategy and Implementation Team Manager, Rowan House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, GU4 7BQ.

Alternatively you can e-mail your objection to parking@surreycc.gov.uk

For clarification, In Haslemere, the proposed tariff for long term parking (5 hours or more) on the following residential roads:

  • St Christopher’s Green
  • Lion Lane
  • Weydown Road
  • Derby Road
  • Church Road
  • Bunch Lane
  • King’s Road
  • Court’s Hill Road
  • Tanners Lane
  • Beech Road

is £5 during the proposed operational hours (8.30am-8pm Mondays-Fridays). This is shown as a medium tariff on the plan in Annexe A. It is also proposed to charge £1 per hour for periods up to 5 hours.
