Surrey Cycle Challenge

The 2012 Surrey Cycle Challenge is fast approaching. Registration for this years challenge, that will take place from 10 - 23 June, opens on 21 May.

The competition is open to everyone who works for an organisation (minimum no. of employees 4) with a base in Surrey. Organisations will have to register first and once that has happened members/employees can register and start recording their journeys. So, encourage your organisation to register from 21 May so that you can take part in the challenge from 10 June.

The Surrey Cycle Challenge challenges organisations with a base in Surrey to get as many of its workforce to cycle to work during the challenge fortnight as possible. There will be three challenge categories this year for small, medium and large organisations. The smallest allowable company has to have 4 employees and each category winner will receive a challenge trophy with runners up and third receiving certificates. The winner will be the organisation that has the highest percentage of its workforce making a work related journey by bicycle.

There will also be a prize draw at the end of the challenge for all individuals who register and make a journey by bicycle. First prize will be a new bicycle to the value of £600.
