Student fare card scheme
The student fare card scheme has been reviewed and we are pleased to confirm that the scheme will continue unchanged for the academic year 2012/13.
The student fare card scheme is for students aged between 16-18 (students must be aged 16 but under 19 on the 1 September of the year of application).
- The cost of the student fare card is £25.00 and is valid from the date of issue until the end of the following August.
- Discounts of £12.50 are available for students. To see if you are eligible for this discount please see who qualifies for a student fare card discount?.
- You may only apply for both a bus and train student fare card if you need to use both modes of transport daily to complete your journey.
- Students must fulfil the following criteria:
- Are in full time further education
- Resident in one of the following borough/districts.
