Road safety

Drinking and driving shatters lives

The Surrey Road Safety Partnership is made up of Surrey County Council, Surrey Police, Surrey Fire & Rescue, and the Highways Agency and works together, with you, to help make Surrey's roads safer. The Surrey Safety Camera Partnership includes the same organisations and enforces safety on the roads.

On average, nearly four people a month are killed or seriously injured on Surrey’s roads as a consequence of impaired (mainly drunk) drivers. In the run-up to Christmas and over the festive period, there can be an increased temptation to drink and drive. As a result, the Surrey Road Safety Partnership has launched a month-long drink drive campaign.
