Surrey Arts is committed to providing high quality instrumental teaching to pupils in Surrey schools and in area and County ensembles
We teach the full range of orchestral and band instruments – strings, woodwind and brass – as well as piano, singing, fife, recorder, drum kit, electronic keyboard, guitar, percussion, djembe and samba. Our Wider Opportunities Programme ‘Tuning Up’, is happening in 140 schools across the County.
Interviews, to include playing and teaching, are held throughout the year.
Qualifications: A recognised music degree or equivalent qualification (music diploma) is required.
All tutors working in Surrey Schools are subject to an Enhanced Clearance from the Criminal Records Bureau.

We are looking to recruit competent and dynamic classical guitar teachers who are able to teach primary school children a well structured foundation in the playing of the classical guitar and prepare students up to grade 5 level from any one of the three main examination boards. The applicant will be expected to have references of teaching experience and possess a degree or diploma related to the subject.
