Surrey Music Hub
Surrey Music Hub is a network of music organisations and schools working together to bring more musical opportunities to more young people. Surrey Arts is the lead partner in the hub.
Music Lessons
Surrey Arts teaches music to over 15,000 pupils every week, employs 300 professional tutors and offers music lessons on all orchestral instruments in 220 schools in Surrey. You can apply online for music lessons.
Ensembles
We also run over 50 performing ensemble groups:
National Youth Jazz Orchestra
Lunchtime Concert 12.30pm
Featuring international performer, composer and teacher Paul Harris who will direct students in well-known wind orchestra pieces as well as music written by him.
The concert also features the fantastic Surrey County Youth Wind Orchestra who are delighted to welcome Paul as a guest conductor for this event.
Evening Concert 7.30pm
Featuring the sensational National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Great Britain
NYJO will play alongside students from Surrey Arts, including the Surrey County Youth Jazz Orchestra and the winners of this year’s Surrey Show Choir Competition in what is guaranteed to be a lively and unforgettable concert.
Surrey Arts offers a variety of programmes for young children in Infant and Primary Schools across the county, this includes Stringbabies and Jinglebugs. Please contact us for more information about tailor-made programmes in your area.
