The Surrey Compact

logo for the surrey compact

The Surrey Compact is a code of best practice between the public and voluntary, community and faith sectors.

The aim of the Surrey Compact is to change attitudes and behaviour in partnership working between the sectors.
This is achieved through a number of codes of practice based on these themes:

  • funding,
  • volunteering,
  • working with community groups,
  • equality and diversity
  • policy making and consultation.
Being a Compact signatory means that your organisation signs up to being responsible for improving relationships between the sectors.

This is part of a national scheme.

For more details about the Surrey Compact and how you can be involved please email
