Friends of Surrey Performing Arts Library - FOSPAL

The Friends

The Friends of Surrey Performing Arts Library (FOSPAL) was formed in 2000 following the move to the present location at Denbies Winery. It was set up to provide support for the Library with the aim of building on the obvious goodwill of users and the public.

Members' subscriptions and donations are the principal source of funds and each year nearly £2000 is spent on enhancing the services and equipment of the Library.

A number of talks are arranged throughout the year covering a wide range of topics relating to the arts. Speakers are chosen for their experience and knowledge of their subject. The talks take place on Saturday afternoons in the Vaughan Williams Room (at the Library) and admission is free. Light refreshments are provided.

Charitable Status

FOSPAL is an independent registered charity with a formal constitution and an elected committee.

Membership

Everyone who values the Performing Arts Library is urged to join FOSPAL (the subscription is only £10 pa). A really large membership will strengthen the support that FOSPAL can give to the Library.

Newsletters are circulated to all members to provide information about future events.
