Joining the library online

computer keyboard

Anyone with an email address who lives in Surrey can join, and completing the form only takes a couple of minutes.

Fill in your details on the following pages (if you are under 16 we will need details of your parent, guardian or carer). Please choose a convenient Surrey library for your home base: if you only want to use eBooks and eAudiobooks, select 'eLibrary'. You will be invited to choose a Personal Identification Number (PIN), after which we will give you a temporary borrower number. You can use this number straight away to reserve books (but not eBooks or eAudiobooks) from the library catalogue.

Your library card will be sent to you in the post, and your new membership number will also be emailed to you. This will then allow you to access a wider range of services including eBooks, eAudiobooks and our online reference shelf. Your library card can be used in any of the 54 libraries in Surrey: to enjoy the full benefits of library membership, simply take your card into any Surrey library for a free upgrade.

If you have not heard from us within two weeks of joining online, please email: libraries@surreycc.gov.uk or phone Enquiries Direct on 01483 543599.

Please now continue to join online.
