His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent performed the official opening ceremony for Surrey County Council's new £5.5 million Tatsfield School premises.
He was welcomed by headteacher Kevin Bellinger and other guests, including county council Chairman Geoff Marlow.
Mr Marlow said: "It is an honour for us that the Duke of Kent agreed to visit our fantastic new premises. It was a memorable day for the council, staff, pupils and everyone who has helped to make this school a key focal point of the community."
Tatsfield headteacher Kevin Bellinger said: "We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful new school building where the children and staff can work and learn together."
The school's new home includes seven classrooms, a hall and a playground. It has a ground source heating system, which uses the natural heat from the ground. The 210 pupils at the primary school near Woldingham moved from Church Lane to the new site on Ship Hill last year.
