Surrey County Council Local Committee - Mole Valley

Boxhill

Surrey County Council's Local Committee for Mole Valley was set up in 2002 to bring local government into the heart of the community. Its aim is to be more responsive to people living and working in Mole Valley and to give communities a bigger say over decisions affecting them.

Six county councillors sit on the Local Committee. They discuss issues such as education, social care, young people and community transport in Mole Valley. The county councillors are joined by six district councillors to make decisions on transport and roads.

The next meeting of the Local Committee is on Wednesday 24 September 2008. The meeting will be held at the Mole Valley District Council Offices, Council Chamber, in Dorking and will start at 2pm.

The agenda and report papers can be accessed online 5 days before the meeting. Alternatively you may view a copy at your local library and Leatherhead Help Shop.

All Mole Valley residents are welcome to come along and ask councillors questions during public question time, and to have their say on decisions taken by the County Council.

The Local Committee is keen to support activities and groups that can make a difference to local communities through its County Councillors local allocation fund.

The Local Partnerships Team and the Local Highways Service support the committee and its councillors.
