Portage early education support service

We aim to provide a home-based teaching service for children with developmental delay and their families. We promote the child's learning by working in partnership with parents and professionals involved with supporting the child and their family.

Portage is available to families in Surrey who have children 0-3 1/2 years with significant developmental or additional needs.

The portage service also offers small group play and language development opportunities for families with a child who has Down's Syndrome. Associated specialist programmes are available for families who have a child diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder in the early years (NAS EarlyBird and EarlyBird Plus Programmes). Please see Education support for children with autism for more information. The Positive Play Programme is also available for families with a pre-school child who is presenting challenging behaviour.

If you have any enquiries about Portage, please call the contact centre on 0300 200 1004 or use the contact information provided in the pages below.
